NEW VIDEO: Families of Lebanese Prisoners Speak, Call for Global Support

In January 2026, the Mahmoud Farajallah Delegation (named for a Palestinian detainee in Belgium martyred in immigration detention) traveled from Belgium to Lebanon, where it visited with community, social and political organizations, visited South Lebanon and the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, and met with the families of Lebanese prisoners held captive in Zionist jails.

This video features several of the families of the prisoners, including the families of Hussein Karaki, Waddah Younes, Ali Assaf, Ali Tarhini, Hussein Sharif, Mohammed Jheir and others, calling on the people of the world to speak up and act to free their loved ones.

There are at least 30 Lebanese prisoners inside occupation jails, and dozens more whose status is unconfirmed and who remain missing in action. The Zionist occupation frequently refuses to acknowledge that it is even holding the Lebanese captives, and denies access to the International Committee of the Red Cross and lawyers' visits. Many of the Lebanese prisoners are held in the notorious underground "Rakevet" section of Ramle prison.

They are held alongside over 9,600 Palestinian prisoners. We urge all to escalate campaigns and actions to secure their freedom. We also urge you to share this video and other materials; screen it in your events, and distribute it widely, to highlight the story of the Lebanese prisoners who are facing the same genocidal entity behind bars that the Lebanese and Palestinian people are facing daily through its bombings and attacks on the Gaza Strip and the South of Lebanon.
