Ahmad Attiyeh

Ahmad Attiyeh is one of three farmers who was abducted from the town of Rashaya al-Fukhar in Hasbaya district in South Lebanon on May 19, 2026, by invading Zionist occupation soldiers, along with his brother, Shawqi Attiyeh, and their cousin, Ali Attiyeh. All three are from the village of Halta and were out in their orchards in Rashaya al-Fukhar planting their land when an occupation forces invaded the area and abducted a number of farmers.

After hours of detention and interrogation, their mobile phones confiscated, several of the farmers were released, while the three men of the Attiyeh family remained captive. In an interview with Al-Jazeera, Amina, Ahmad's 12-year-old daughter, said:

“I was standing on the balcony of the house and heard relatives talking about a kidnapping that happened in the field, and I learned that my father was among them...I still cannot understand what happened. They went to work in the morning and did not come back. We are waiting for any news, any phone call, or anything to reassure us that they are okay. All we want right now is for him to return to us safely.”
